Society

Social sustainability is the dimension of sustainable entrepreneurship that, broadly speaking, relates to how Wolters Kluwer interacts with society on the whole and four main stakeholder groups in particular: customers, shareholders and investors, employees, and business partners.

Commitment
Wolters Kluwer is committed to living up to high professional conduct and ethical standards in all its activities. We are also dedicated to being a responsible partner in society. These aims are expressed in Values and Business Principles (2007 Sustainable Entrepreneurship Report)

Community Involvement
Wolters Kluwer has always been conscious of the need to give back to the communities in which it operates and society at large. At many levels within the Company, long-standing community relationships exist with a variety of non-profit organizations and institutions.

Wolters Kluwer announced its three-year commitment to contribute publishing expertise and financial support to War Trauma Foundation. At the end of last year, Wolters Kluwer has raised money for three charitable organizations through a matching program connected to this year’s company-wide season’s greetings card.

In honor of the 2007 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Wolters Kluwer has made a donation to Operation Eardrop Foundation. To learn more about this organization, click here.
