CT Expands Litigation Solutions Management Team; Increases Focus on Litigation Offerings in 2007
Company Appoints New VP of Litigation Solutions;
Also Adds to CT Summation and CT TyMetrix Management Teams
NEW YORK CITY— January 29, 2007—As new e-Discovery rules and other requirements continue to make the litigation process more complicated, technology is playing an increasingly stronger role in the legal professional’s work day. Today, CT, part of Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services, is poised to extend its position in 2007 as the market leader in litigation solutions to help meet its customers’ increasing challenges. To help drive its growth strategy, CT announces several new members to its Litigation Solutions management team: Tom Rump, vice president of Litigation Solutions, Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services; Bob Hopen, vice president of sales, CT Summation; and Tom Wolkner, vice president of sales, CT TyMetrix.
CT plans to expand its offerings in the Litigation Solutions area in 2007 and will continue to build on its current capabilities with help from its new management. From service of process solutions to e-billing, matter management and performance metrics to litigation support to e-Discovery, CT’s goal is to provide its customers with clarity, organization, management and measurement in the litigation process through one partner. In order to help lead the way toward realizing that vision, CT has appointed Tom Rump as the new vice president of Litigation Solutions for Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services.
In his position, Rump has operating responsibility for CT Summation and CT TyMetrix and will manage the development and execution of the company’s Litigation Solutions strategy. Since his appointment, Rump has devoted his time exclusively to CT Summation. It is anticipated that he will secure general management leadership for CT Summation, assume operating responsibility for CT TyMetrix and full-scale responsibility for the Litigation Solutions division during the latter half of 2007.
“Wolters Kluwer and CT both have firm foundations in their respective industries. We combined those foundations with that of top-notch technology solutions from CT TyMetrix and CT Summation early in 2006 and are looking forward to expanding even further to extend our position as the market leader in the litigation area,” said Gene Landoe, president and CEO of CT & Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services. “As vice president of Litigation Solutions, Tom will help put what we believe are the right ingredients together to create the top choice in solutions for the litigation process.”
Rump began his career with IBM, where he held leadership assignments in various IBM software and technology divisions. In his final position there, he was CFO with operational responsibilities for aspects of a $2.6 billion sales and marketing profit center. Rump delivered results for 1992 and 1993 that exceeded industry norms and internal targets, and his division profits were the highest in IBM North America.
He has also served as the CEO of The Cedar Group, a small, London-based software company producing HR, financial and CRM software. Rump was tasked with establishing a US-based operation to develop a complete CRM solution and create a comprehensive consulting practice. During his 5-year tenure, revenues grew from $3 million to $75 million.
As vice president of Litigation Solutions for Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services, Rump is based at the CT Summation office in San Francisco.
Expanded Management Teams for CT Summation and CT TyMetrix
In addition to Tom Rump’s appointment, CT has also expanded its Litigation Solutions management team to further drive its growth strategy. CT Summation added Bob Hopen as vice president of sales, and CT TyMetrix named Tom Wolkner as its vice president of sales:
- Bob Hopen: Hopen’s position includes sales responsibility for all CT Summation products and services. He brings 20 years of professional sales experience and 15 years of sales leadership experience in the legal markets to his new role.
- Tom Wolkner: In his new position, Wolkner is responsible for leading CT TyMetrix in its continued expansion into the global and US-based corporate law departments and claims organizations. He is also continuing to expand the CT TyMetrix sales team to accommodate the increasing demand for CT TyMetrix’s Web-based system, CT TyMetrix 360°, a unified platform for matter management and electronic invoicing. He is responsible for all of CT TyMetrix’s sales efforts, both domestically and internationally.
