CCH Trust Tax and Troika Introduce Seamless Data Transfer Between Software Packages
(London, August 16 2007) – CCH, the leading tax and accountancy software provider, part of Wolters Kluwer UK, and FinApps the wealth management software specialist, announce the introduction of seamless data transfer between their complementary software packages for trusts, CCH Trust Tax and Troika. The integration will allow seamless data sharing between the two products for the first time.
CCH Trust Tax is used for producing tax returns for trusts; Troika is used to produce accounts for trusts.
Law firms and accountants frequently use CCH Trust Tax and Troika in tandem when handling clients’ trust work, but until now had to input accounts data generated in Troika into CCH Trust Tax manually to produce a trust tax return.
The integration of CCH Trust Tax and Troika means that investment and Capital Gains Tax data can now be exported from Troika directly into CCH Trust Tax with just a few mouse clicks.
Austin Wilkinson, Product Manager at CCH Software comments: “This represents a significant efficiency gain for trust practitioners. Some trusts have substantial share portfolios, in which a large number of transactions take place every year, so the time spent manually transferring that data from Troika to Trust Tax could be quite significant.”
“The new export functionality should also eliminate the risk of inputting errors, which were always a possibility when data was transferred between both products manually.”
Data exported from Troika to Trust Tax is then used in the calculation of the tax liability of the trust, and production of the tax return.
