Croner Launches its Latest Safety Podcast
Hinckley, December 4, 2006 - Croner, the UK’s leading safety experts, are launching their latest in a series of podcasts to help health and safety professionals and business owners keep up-to-date with health and safety legislation.
The ‘Asbestos’ podcast is available to download free of charge from the Croner website to safety and facilities managers who are concerned about their obligations under the new Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2006.
The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2006, which came into force on 13 November revoke and replace the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, the Asbestos (Licensing) Regulations 1983 (as amended) and the Asbestos (Prohibitions) Regulations 1992 (as amended). They will introduce new control limits, mandatory training, analysis of the concentration of asbestos in the air and practical guidelines for the determination of “sporadic and low intensity exposure”.
The podcast, by leading industry expert Nigel Bryson, covers the main 12 points of the Regulations, what it means for safety and facilities managers, and what they need to do to comply with the legislation.
