  • The number of ordinary shares issued amounted to 292.8 million on December 31, 2009 (December 31, 2008: 287.1 million). 
  • The weighted average number of fully diluted ordinary shares was 293.8 million. (2008: 288.3 million). Out of the money stock options are not included in this number.
  • On the basis of the ordinary shares issued at December 31, 2009 the market capitalization amounted to EUR 4.5 billion. (2008: EUR 3.9 billion).

Credit facilities

In September 2006, Wolters Kluwer negotiated a multi-currency credit facility of just under five years’ duration, to expire in July 2011. The credit facility was sized at €928 million on December 31, 2009.
